Who are the Ninety-Nines
The Ninety-Nines is an international non-profit organization of licensed women pilots from 44 countries that was formed in 1929. We are professional pilots for airlines, industry and government; we are pilots who teach and pilots who fly for pleasure; we are pilots who are technicians and mechanics. But first and foremost, we are women who love to fly!

The Ninety-Nines organization is divided into 27 geographical Sections all over the world that contain 153 Chapters.
We are the Blue Ridge Chapter of the Southeast Section
The Southeast Section of the Ninety-Nines has 22 chapters with members in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Southeast Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and U.S. Virgin Islands.

The Blue Ridge Chapter became affiliated with the Southeast Section in December of 1982. Our home airport is KSPA, Spartanburg Downtown Memorial Airport, in northwest South Carolina. We encompass the upstate of South Carolina and western North Carolina, and include the areas of Spartanburg, Greenville, Anderson, Asheville, and Hendersonville. Our members reside in both North and South Carolina. We are involved in Spartanburg Airport Day, Triple Tree events, working with the Girl Scouts of America, the South Carolina Breakfast Club, EAA Young Eagles programs, and Pilots for Paws. A planned activity for the Fall is to paint the Compass Rose at Spartanburg Memorial Airport.
